Two Poems

This post is simple–I’m simply going to post two poems that were published earlier this year. Quite a few of you have mentionned that you like reading my poetry. Enjoy!

**Sorry Mom, but the second one might make you blush..

Children Pick Rocks

“Children Pick Rocks” was published in Oleander Review in the spring.  Notice the play on sounds–sound devices— throughout the poem? It was so much fun to write and format.

Due to formatting, please click on the link to open the PDF version of my poem. Thanks!

Like Their Fathers and Mothers Before Them

“Like Their Fathers and Mothers Before Them” was published in FreeFall Magazine (Volume XXVII Number 3). Notice the repetition throughout the poem? That’s because it’s a Villanelle.

Again, due to formatting, please click on the link to open the PDF version of my poem. Thanks!

Like Their Fathers and Mothers Before Them (final)

Wonderful. I can do relate to the rock picking poem. You captured everything so beautifully.
